Objectives of this programme

The programme covers a wide range of topics, including metaverse platforms, virtual currencies, blockchain technology, gaming, and social media.

Participants will learn about the latest trends and developments in the metaverse, and how they can be applied to their respective fields.

Upon completion, participants will have gained a thorough understanding of the metaverse and the skills necessary to incorporate this exciting field within their own organisations.


Programme content

The certificate programme starts with an introduction to the Metaverse and a Metaverse Experience Lab in the Metaverse Discovery Grid at the SQUARE. At 200sqm participants get familiar with the Metaverse by exploring different Metaverse technologies and use cases across industries. During the second day, the participants will deep dive into the consumer behaviour, technology, and strategy for and in the Metaverse. Action workshops and practice sessions will complement lectures from our speakers.

  • Module 1: Introduction to the Metaverse
    Content: The "Introduction to the Metaverse" module provides a comprehensive overview of the Metaverse, including its definition, the driving forces behind its development, and the significant business opportunities it presents.   • Module 2: Building blocks in the Metaverse
    Content: The "Building Blocks of the Metaverse" module explores the history of the Web 1.0 to 3.0, along with key elements such as AR, VR, mixed reality, platforms, avatars, communities, and content creation, providing a comprehensive foundation for understanding the Metaverse.   • Module 3: Metaverse Infrastructure
    Content: The "Metaverse Infrastructure" module offers an in-depth exploration of the fundamental concepts in blockchain technology, its application in the Metaverse, the role of NFTs and tokens, and real-world examples of NFT utilization in the retail industry, such as Gucci and Adidas.   • Module 4: Action Workshop (NFTs)
    Content: The "Action Workshop" module, facilitated by Ondrej T., a Web3 and Metaverse advisor, provides a hands-on learning experience focused on NFTs. Participants will engage in practical activities and discussions to gain actionable insights into the world of NFTs and their relevance in the Web3 and Metaverse space.   • Module 5: Generative AI
    Content: The "Generative AI" module provides participants hands-on content creation training using GenAI.
